Mr Zuhri Sukaimi, in his 40s, designs for the boutique Modkebaya, located at #01-09, Golden Landmark Hotel. He has been in the business for nearly 10 years.
One quick way to update your baju, he said, is to accessorise and there are plenty of choices from his label. Unique He said: 'Our necklaces are unique as we use items like traditional belt buckles and brooches and turn them into pendants. 'For something less traditional, you can also wear our baju kurung or kebaya tops with mod pants or even skinny jeans, and finish the look off with a pair of sky-high strappy sandals.'
He described his signature look for this Hari Raya: 'I have given the baju kurung a more A-line shape which is worn with a shorter batik sarong (showing off one's ankles), making it very flattering for women of all shapes and sizes.'
