modkebaya's designer, Zuhri, has an undeniable unique style.
He is known for giving a new flavour to the Baju Kebaya by using strong colours, combining influences from the East and West and incorporating ethnic and abstract designs in his work.
He is also well known for his Baju Kurungs. While designing for the popular Kemy & Surin, he came up with his signature 'Baju Kurung Tun Fatimah", a modern interpretation of the classic Baju Kurung. For the brand new modkebaya, he has created a beautiful 1950s inspired Kurung, which is paired with a modern and vibrant batik print sarong, only available at modkebaya.
His ready-to-wear designs are always fresh, fun and glamorous and can be worn for any occasion.
Zuhri is self taught and was the designer for Kemy & Surin for 5 years.
